The Strokes by Matt Gillet - Tik Tok
A part of doing this is to build a time capsule so that my kids can look at this when they are ready and understand what I was going through at the time. I have created a Tik Tok page for this and also transcribing the posts raw and including any links as part of my research.
G'day and welcome to The Strokes with Matt Gillett. On the 6th of December, 2024, at work, I had a small faint and followed by severe numbness and weakness in the right-hand side of the body, upon which I spent the next three days in the stroke ward in a hospital in London. This has been followed by a series of months of tests and scans, which led to a diagnosis of an arteriovenous malformation in the left-hand side of the brain. Keen to connect to people who have this condition or for those interested to learning more, especially those in the clinical and academia spaces.
